iOS 27 moved this setting. Here's how to turn it off

iOS 27 moved Wi-Fi Assist into Wi-Fi settings and renamed it Connectivity Assist. If Wi-Fi Assist was on, this is on too, and it can use cellular data while you're on Wi-Fi.

  1. Open Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Connectivity Assist.
  2. Or turn it off for one network with the (i) button.

Some users report better battery with it off. Spotty Wi-Fi? Keep it on.

4 hidden gestures on Android's navigation bar

With gesture navigation on, that little bar at the bottom does way more than go home.

  1. Swipe sideways to flip between apps.
  2. Touch and hold for Circle to Search.
  3. Swipe down for one-handed mode (turn it on first).
  4. Swipe up from a bottom corner for your assistant.

NVIDIA App's new AI setting: here's the off switch

NVIDIA App 11.0.9.565 added a setting that lets AI agents control the app.

  1. Open the NVIDIA App > Settings > Features.
  2. Scroll to Connect Agents & Apps.
  3. Switch off Allow AI agents to control NVIDIA App. Green turns gray.

Reports say it runs only on your PC (local) and does nothing unless an AI agent is installed.

Windows 10 updates now run to October 2027

Microsoft extended free consumer Extended Security Updates for Windows 10 to October 2027.

  1. Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  2. Says you're enrolled? You're covered automatically.
  3. See Enroll now? It's free when you back up your settings.

Needs Windows 10 version 22H2 and a Microsoft account. Personal PCs only, not work-managed ones.
